Welcome to my userpage!

To know more about me, you can visit my English Wikipedia user page. Basically, I'm a 7th year medical student from Leuven, Belgium. I came from Wikipedia after I met the friendly Wikinews community and decided that it could use more improvement than Wikipedia. Recently, my attention has shifted back to Wikipedia, were I recently became an administrator.

Here on WikiNews, I became an admin on October 17, 2006 and an accredited reporter on March 4, 2007. I took up citizen journalism and photojournalism as a hobby and also joined the Belgian chapter of Indymedia.

I'm currently busy studying and working to become a medical doctor, but if you need me I'll be glad to help out.

grtz, Steven Fruitsmaak

[edit] Some of my work

Wikinews Lead Reporter.png

I currently wrote 100 articles, and I'm also proud of my edits in the others listed on my braglist. The newest story I wrote is:

Sint-Niklaas gaat vreemd 14.jpg

I'm especially proud of my article Mass wedding held against racism in Belgium, which is a featured article on this site, and of my interviews with World Wide Web co-inventor Robert Cailliau and Reggie Bibbs, who campaigns on neurofibromatosis.

You can also consult my edit count (over 3300 in main, over 7000 in total; although Interiot seems to have a different idea :-p).
