David, shouldn't "Yes, I believe what Bush has done has been ordained by God." be "Yes, I believe Bush thinks what he has done has been ordained by God."
It isn't clear who is asserting this the way it is now. --Terrible Tim 21:25, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Puritans were not Christian Zionists![edit]
Interesting interview, but a couple of times Unger speaks of the Puritan vision of America as a new "Promised Land" and then immediately turns to "Christian Zionism," which is the belief that Israel must be given back to the Jews. This is a sly move, but the problem is that the Puritans were not Christian Zionists. There is a big difference between what they said and what some--not all--modern evangelicals think. It seems a little sloppy to make that move. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.57.140.243 (talk) 05:50, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- It is clearly the view of the interviewee, not of Wikinews. --Brian McNeil / talk 10:37, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
