Wow, what an improvement!

Is it possible to put the two sub-lead articles in the upper-right hand corner in a separate box with a distinct background color from the Browse/Weather box?

Also, could you fit the market data in a separate box underneath the Weather, with a different background color? I think Davodd showed how that could be done on his sandbox page number two. Ilya mentioned he might be willing to post a second template which has the abbreviated form without the dates, which is required to make that work.

After these couple of other changes, I would fully endorse what you have accomplished with this new design.

My hat's off to you for working to improve the Main Page design.

I tried to do the different boxes thing, but wikimedia tables seem to have defeated me. I'm going to leave a message on the mainpage talkpage to see if anyone else can manage it. As for the market data, ive talked to Ilya; it looks like it will be possible but might take a couple of days before its ready. The bellman 03:56, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)
