You can find this message translated into additional languages on Meta-wiki.

Dear all,

Please review and comment on the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees selection rules package from now until 29 October 2023. The selection rules package was based on older versions by the Elections Committee and will be used in the 2024 Board of Trustees selection. Providing your comments now will help them provide a smoother, better Board selection process. More on the Meta-wiki page.

Best,

Katie Chan
Chair of the Elections Committee

CUing the Japanese spam IPs

I was wondering if we should CU the IPs adding the Japanese spam we have been receiving for a few days. I am hesitant because it is IPv6 and IPv6 works in mysterious ways. Thought, @Cromium:?

(Non-admin comment) Instead CU, I think we need abuse filter to halt such non-English creations. Since I'm seeing the same type of spamming at many projects (Such as JAWB, JAWV, JAWS, and Wikispecies), we may need to ask a global abuse filter at Meta-Wiki. Only concern with such filters is, should a genuine contributor be creating such a page, it shouldn't affect them.

CU'd a few IPs

Since this article talk received too much of vandalism, I CU'd the IPs which were vandalising. However, I got nothing. In the same duration, I received a notification, that there were multiple failed attempts to log in to my account (possibly the offended vandal tried that). •–• 16:05, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Petty, but repetitive behaviour of him to log into my account and failing. 121.243.89.77 (talk) 06:10, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
