@Pi zero: Avi Pazner is long retired and barely relevant to the one story in which he appears. --SVTCobra 21:19, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@SVTCobra: Miscellaneous thoughts:
  • Pazner is retired as a diplomat. I'm unclear whether he's still World Chairman of Keren Hayesod (mentioned by Wikipedia), but he might be. The most recent mentions of him in msm seem to be from February of this year. I don't mean to suggest we're likely to have additional articles related to him; just noting, it's not impossible.
  • When somebody is quoted in a news context, we count that solidly relevant to them.
  • I've never been a hawk about pursuing underpopulated person categories that have been around for a very long time. There's this vague notion in the back of my mind that our category inclusion criteria might become more permissive, not by generically lowering the "three article" threshold, but by specifically lowering it in certain prescribed situations.

Yes, I see now. I guess he's like a commentator now and could show up in the news. And yes, I don't know when "the rule of three" became such a dire cutoff. Cheers, --SVTCobra 01:12, 10 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
