Wikipedia[edit]

@Pi zero: My objection to the Wikipedia link was not the broken anchor. There is no meaningful content about Liam Aitchison there. Just a single paragraph about Wright's joke and apology. And as far as I can tell, there never was (see this 2012 revision). It is essentially nothing of substance. I'd rather include an external link like https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/tag/liam-aitchison/ if we feel pressed to offer additional resources. --SVTCobra 02:07, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The connection was strong enough to justify a Wikinews box on that section of the Wikipedia article (never mind that, iirc, they've changed their policy to disallow that style of references to Wikinews, so presumably eventually someone there will decide to remove it). It's likely the only mention of Liam Aitchison that will ever make it into Wikipedia. I don't see a reason not to link it, although I could perhaps see not linking the keyword (let's see, what was the parameter for that...). --Pi zero (talk) 04:09, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I delinked the keyword on the intro. Seemed to me more relevant than removing the sister link from the side box. --Pi zero (talk) 04:17, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
