Politicians are not invincible and probably their hands are tied to take any drastic action. I feel damage limitation and Status quo will be the solution for now.

Already negotiations for The NEWS Empire`s Survival is assured. NEWS MOGHULS have all sort of Tricks to get out of situation. They have enough clout and back door ways to get around the tricky situation. Tony Blair stopped Gordon Brown from opening up Press Complaints in 2010 since it needed th PM's approval. The passionate statement of David Cameron and Ed Milliband agreeing to the proposal has already been rehearsed. Some Politicians are accountable; if they still continue to play the survival game, I will be very surprised if anything come out of the Judges Enquiry ; People have short Memory. In USA Obama is facing the Re-election and he will be neutral and non-commited. Politics and Media needs a overhaul. I recall a James Bond Film (pierce Brosnan & Terry Hatcher) in which the Villain(NEWS MOGHUL) creates NEWS and has Delusion to Conquer the World. If people are really serious about flexing the muscle using the power, one should Boycott any thing to do with Rupert Murdoch. People brought Barclay's bank to collapse during Apartheid days in South Africa. People are insensetive or selfish. Apathy & ignorance dominate. Time is the answer. I wish the future of Media and Broadcasting access will be free with Digital revolution. Time to act is Now. WIKIPEDIA is setting the trend.

The Scandal effect has resulted in Ms Rebecca Brooks' resignation (expected) before Murdochs` Summons (his arrogance was laid bare when he and his son refused to appear before but agreed when Summoned. Atleast his Legal Advisors are sane. He can be an American Citizen but not beyond Her Majesty`s Summons) .FBI is also looking into the 9/11 hacking for any wrongdoing.
