Actually, it does say what river it was, at the end of the 2nd paragraph: The plane made an emergency landing in the river Manacapuru, a branch the Amazon river in the Brazilian state of Amazonas.  ♪TempoDiValse♪  04:06, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

The plane was not a Brasilia, but a Bandeirante.
