Talk:Algerian 2012 Paralympic coaches express optimism
Add topicJournalist notes
[edit]Yesterday, following the tour of the Paralympic village, I talked to the Algerian athletics coaches who were all standing around outside the Paralympic village and asked how their runners would perform. (I found out their sport after having initially said I knew their country had a history of good boxers. They told me their country had a history of great runners.) After I said I was from Australia, one showed me their passport and that they had been to Australia and to the 2011 Christchurch hosted athletics championships with their runners who had won a total of eleven medals, eight of which were gold. I asked who their major competitors were and if other countries in Africa were their rivals. They told me Nigeria and Kenya had good runners but theirs should beat them. After this, we discussed how awful the weather was in London. They did not like the London weather. They would prefer the weather in India where it is nice and warm. --LauraHale (talk) 12:41, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Awww, crikey!
[edit]I wanted this to be lead #5, so I reverted, but now I don't know how to make that cool lead widget pop up! --Bddpaux (talk)
- The 'make this a lead article' thing only appears for a few moments, then times out, thanks to interaction between the notoriously tangled review-gadget code and a recent wiki-software revision deployment. I've made this Lead 5.
- You can always get Makelead with shortcut WN:ML; one thing to watch out for is, you then have to enter the title of the article manually (such as with copy-and-paste, but you may have to remember to copy before going to WN:ML).
- Btw, when you reverted the Lead 1 makelead, you'd forgotten to sight the revert. (The way the flaggedrevs sortware interacts with rollback makes this easy to forget.) --Pi zero (talk) 16:00, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
