@M-B: We do not change files if the article is archived. Though some edits can be made to this article, I am not sure in this case (That's why, @Pi zero:). Also, do not say that the file will be deleted soon — I see it is nominated for deletion, which does not mean it will be deleted.

In this case I see no harm in using the higher-res image; seems to me for practical purposes it's the same image — we do allow minor copyedits to an archived article that don't change its meaning. Acagastya's concern is appreciated (we do have some special concerns in regard to image substitution), but at the same time, I think we're safe in this case. Thanks to M-B, we've had the opportunity to compare both versions of the image by eye. --Pi zero (talk) 15:53, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
