Problems in the language and contents

[edit]
  1. It's not proper delivery to write that a system is believed to be one of the known 15 systems [to contain over three planets].
  2. It's misleading to refer to "millions of stars in the universe", since the estimated number of stars is 1021.
  3. I think "reside" is a poor word choice for the presence of planets in a system.

I'll try to edit the article a bit. --PeeKoo (talk) 16:06, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Good fixes. Thanks. --InfantGorilla (talk) 16:23, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

nomenclature

[edit]

Just a quick note, there's only one solar system. That happens to be the star system in which we currently reside as it is named after the name of our sun, Sol. IMO better choices of names for what astronomers have discovered would be a "planetary system" or a "star system".

I am, indeed, familiar with this issue; however, I thank you for bringing this up. I will address it. Tyrol5 (talk) 00:11, 28 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
