Talk:Avalanche in Sikkim, India kills seven, injures twelve
Add topic"Renowned for its natural beauty"
[edit]@Commemorative1: Please do keep in mind Wikinews' NPOV policy differs from Wikipedia's, as explained here, so we would never say "renowned for its natural beauty" (although I think even Wikipedia wouldn't like "renowned"). We could attribute that to News18, but that would just sound strange. I bring this up because there is an opportunity to add concrete facts from Reuters' description of the location. - Alright. Thanks for your input. I was cautious of adding it but couldn't think of a more factual representation. Commemorative1 (talk) 13:41, 5 April 2023 (UTC)

Comments by reviewer: @Commemorative1: A good first article! Remember to attribute analysis and, when they vary across sources, numbers to ensure accuracy. I was unsure what to do with the District Magistrate's comment; News18 failed to attach a date to it. But I figure since News18's article reflects the Wednesday morning situation, with rescue efforts having just resumed, the quote was not about any cessation of efforts later Wednesday, but rather about the cessation of efforts on Tuesday evening. Since the latter was verified by both outlets, it didn't seem necessary to attribute it. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |
