Review of revision 2299543 [Not ready]
[edit]
Revision 2299543 of this article has been reviewed by LauraHale (talk · contribs) and found not ready at 16:43, 9 January 2014 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: I am having real problems with verifying the last paragraph. The tribune says "The avalanche comes less than a year after five backcountry snowboarders were killed in an avalanche in April 2013 at Colorado's Loveland Pass, 48 miles west of Denver." This not is this winter, or this year which the original text implied. The Montana part is weird, and the way it is worded suggests that there were five fatalities of which is the only one. It is also a bit close to the source, which says "The Colorado Avalanche Information Center noted there have been at least five such fatalities nationwide, including a snowmobiler killed on New Year's Day in Big Sky, Montana." Wikinews articles are required to be at least three paragraphs long and I would pretty much have to remove the whole last paragraph to get it publishable. (Which I would be okay with because the rest of it generally appears to meet requirements, though I have not thoroughly checked it for close paraphrasing.) Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}).
