8 killed, 100 injured in Bangladesh shopping mall fire

[edit]

The above article says the other two committee members are Inspector General of Police Noor Muhammad and Fire Brigade chief Shahidullah. but I don't know which citation to add if the two articles could be merged. This article [1] and [2] both state that Iqbal Khan Chowdhury, joint secretary (Police) of the home ministry, is the head of the three-member probe committee. None of my articles opened have named the other members.SriMesh | talk 22:58, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Lead paragraph: 'foil incidents.' Unless the fire was intentionally started, you really cannot foil it from happening. Correct double spacing after periods. Remove author 'notes to self'. Copy/edit for style, clarity, grammar.

RE notes on tag

The original article said, I paraphrased and didnt use these two quotes from Security beefed up across country..."On Monday Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed all concerned to enhance security across the country to thwart any unexpected incidents. " and "The government yesterday beefed up security across the country, putting reinforcement at the key-point installations (KPIs) and other major establishments, including the Bangladesh Secretariat to prevent incidents like the Pilkhana and Bashundhara City tragedies."

The fire is under investigation there are suspicious mysteries which have come to light during the investigation....intentionally started has not been ruled out from the sounds of it.
Regarding notes to self...noticed that other news editors use hidden notes as well which are not removed.
Made hidden notes, as I was advised by other editors to say today and Monday, then I was advised by other editors to write in the past tense as events had happened. It is so hard as there is not enough people on wikinews to collaborate on articles or to get articles passed in a timely manner, so there is not a right way to write them. So I wrote the article saying today knowing it probably wouldn't get published today so I left myself notes for when the today used to be.
Sorry about the spaces they are from starting the article somewhere else and copy and pasting it in here.
As for clarity, I put similar statements together..those about security, those about the current opening of the mall, those about the investigation. That is how the news press articles were written, I will not put in an opinion of what the statements are pointing towards, as the investigation is ongoing, and the investigator's results are to come out a week from Monday March 16.
If you re-read the sources, you can tell me if there is something the article say clearer and I am not. I feel the main issues surrounding the fire aftermath which have been released to date are mentioned.
