This is no way a serious piece of news. --Brian McNeil / talk 17:20, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's not just news, it's Wackynews. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.150.147.142 (talk) 17:46, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Did I just read this? Honestly this was boring and just not informative. I say its not news. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 18:19, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Tend to agree w/ above that it is not news - have any other sources covered this in independent pieces, other than the AP? Cirt - (talk) 18:55, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yahoo! thought it was quirky enough to put on their front page. --SVTCobra 19:31, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
This is being carried in lots of "real" newspapers and it certainly wacky. --SVTCobra 19:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why? (I'm not an admin, but the situation would have to be extreme — basically, serious copyvio or ethical issues — to prompt deletion of a published article, and even then it would be recreated with a retraction notice offering some explanation). Not done It's a dull article and needs a few fixes, but it does fall into the seldom used Wackynews category. It's a light human interest story that was nationally covered at the time. —chaetodipus (talk · contribs) 07:34, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
