Until there is actually news from the courts this is just a rehash of the old story, so it should be kept in development, not tagged as ready. Also, I removed the Roadsafe Magazine source, which was not being used as a source and irony is not a reason to keep it. --SVTCobra 13:46, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adjourned

[edit]

The fact that the case was adjourned simply means that there is nothing to report until December 5. Unless there is new information, this story ought not move forward until then. We are not court recorders afterall. --SVTCobra 03:07, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Development

[edit]

Reasons for the adjournment have been added from sources and will eventually form part of the body of the article on December 5/6th when the case appears before court again and news emerges. I'd rather not see this tagged as abandoned until the case has come to court again. He can only drag it out so long and if it gets dragged out for too long that could be a story in its own right (although possibly with a different title). --87.194.104.72 00:16, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speed Limit Image

[edit]

Please replace the image if you find a better one. I created the basic diagram as illustrations add to te article and I couldn't find any useful images on wikimedia commons. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Anonymous101 (talkcontribs) 20:12, 28 November 2007

When I worked on the related article, I added this Speed Camera photo, which is of an English speed camera. Of course it is pretty dull to use the same image in a follow-up article. --SVTCobra 16:08, 29 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the image but as you say it would be boring to use the same image but you are welcome to change it ti that

The speed limit image is not accurate for most sections of road in the United Kingdom. It is much more likely the real sign in force where he was caught would look like this: Natspeedlimit.jpg

The exception is if the road has a higher national speed limit, which only includes some sections of dual carriageway (Which I don't think this section of the A5 was, although I could be wrong here). Can someone with a bit more time than me change the image (it doesn't like wikipedia image links and I don't have time to learn the new syntax right now). 87.194.104.72 07:23, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, do not know how to put images from wikipedia on wikinews but the 60mph sign is pottentially misleading so I have put on a map of the area he was Caught
The image was created by Anonymous101. All I know is that the speed limit was 60 mph where he was caught, I don't know if that speed corresponds to the default limit or if it is higher. --SVTCobra 07:30, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Where?

[edit]

The article doesn't mention what country at all. Keep in mind an international audience when writing. --SVTCobra 19:33, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
