Interview 1A:

• Q: What's going on?

A: "A huge fire. It spans from there to about 2 miles over there (points to east). You can't go this way, you'll have to cut over to [highway] 19."

Q: When did it start? A: About two hours ago.

Interview 2A:

• Q: Did you have to evacuate?

A: "Yeah, but I'm going back to check on my dad."

Q: Are you worried about your home? A: "Well, I look at it like this: I have insurance. I got my dog. That matter a' lot to me."

On-the-spot notes

• Several sheriff's deputies, state police and county constable........about a 9-mile perimeter cordoned off.

Smoky haze seen lingering around several homes 1 - 2 miles away from fire......lots of smoke!!

Multiple cars and trucks seen leaving homes in a big hurry! Lots of fire and rescue vehicles everywhere!!

2:37pm...I watched authorities evacuate about 5 residences just south of La Poynor.

2:53pm...I'm about 5 miles from the blaze.....can see enormous clouds of smoke billowing up.Bddpaux (talk) 02:12, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

This has got to be my biggest scoop yet for Wikinews!! I quite literally just stumbled into this story.....I'm going to add a load of video and photos.......this will be a big story for me.
