source[edit]

who ediot added Main page of Wikipedia as source,

What better source for the wording of the page than, eh, the page itself? Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 17:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to cite external sources as per Wikinews:Style guide for reliability and improve presentation but reverted. Zainichi Gaikokujin [talk] 19:07, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nowhere does WN:SG say "cite loads of shit that isn't actually used to back up anything in the article". Wikinews:Cite sources, another policy, does say "Only cite sources used for information - do not add sources if you did not include any information from them." It is nice to note that WP is hitting the mainstream media however in this event.... so will add a few here. The Guardian Telegraph.co.uk Telegraph.co.uk - 50 most viewed SriMesh | talk 23:35, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • The third sentence of the Article about the 3 millionth article should read:

"The 3 millionth article, about a Norwegian film actress and director Beate Eriksen, was created at 04:04 UTC by Wikipedia user Lampman." rather than: "The 3 millionth article about a Norwegian film actress and director Beate Eriksen was created at 04:04 UTC by Wikipedia user Lampman.". This is because the 3 millionth article is the only one about 'a Norwegian film actress, etc'.
