Talk:Environmental protesters arrested at Massachusetts airport
Add topicHeadline
[edit]The headline is misleading. CNN reports that the protesters were arrested for trespassing, not for supporting the environment.[1]
Be sure to also check if you can get a link to a story directly from the publisher,[2] instead of an aggregator such as Microsoft Start. Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 22:27, 20 April 2024 (UTC); edited 22:30, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
Tasks
[edit]In addition to renaming the article to remove misleading information, the following should be done before resubmitting for review:
- Attribute the creator of the image using {{image}}.
- Fix grammar and punctuation mistakes such as changing "the airport had to temporary shut down" to "the airport had to temporarily shut down..."
- There is a carriage return in the middle of that sentence splitting the sentence into two paragraphs.
Feel free to resubmit the article once you feel you've fixed everything. Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 22:44, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Michael.C.Wright can't the reviewer copyedit? BigKrow (talk) 22:45, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- Yes they can and often do. Or they can reject it outright with a message such as this one: Talk:US House of Representatives rejects resolution to order troop withdrawal from Syria#Review of revision 4715103 [Not ready]. Broken up into parts
[edit]I think this article should be broken up into parts. It looks all smudged together currently. Opinions? Thank you. BigKrow (talk) 21:02, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- As long as you are just making new paragraphs by introducing carriage returns, I believe you can, according to the Wikinews:Archive conventions. Once it's been archived, we can't edit the content but can edit "non-content issues (such as spelling, typos, punctuation and so forth) on a case-by-case basis."
- Once you make the change, it will have to be "sighted" by a reviewer. Which just means approved and made visible to non-logged-in accounts. —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 13:08, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Michael.C.Wright, thanks but I was just trying to express my opinion. BigKrow (talk) 17:29, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- Ahh, I see. Well I agree it would be better if split into separate paragraphs. —Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 20:42, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
