Copyvio image[edit]

Please change the File:Ruslana at concert 1.jpg to File:Flickr_-_proteusbcn_-_Eurovision_Song_Contes_2004_-_Istambul_(36)_cropped.jpg. The currently used one is copyvio and is going to be deleted. Thanks. --Warp w (talk) 21:21, 29 May 2015 (UTC)

Our archive policy does not permit swapping images more than 24 hours after publication of the article.
Curiously, none of the images on this article has a tag that it's up for deletion. --Pi zero (talk) 21:57, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
At that time I was still replacing the widely used imagevio accross all the wikis. When it has been done, I told the copyright violator how to insert a copyvio template into the File:Ruslana at concert 1.jpg on Commons. So now it's tagged. If you refuse to change the image, it's your business. The article will remain with red link instead of an image. --Warp w (talk) 22:37, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
@Warp w: Thanks for letting us know this was going on; the courtesy is appreciated. We have a system for notifying us of these things so we can act on them, one way or another, but in this case that system wouldn't even tell us anything was happening since it's all gone by so very fast; even with your notice I never did see the tag on it, and now it's a redlink already. With your notice, though, we've been able to at least apply our basic placeholder, {{missing image}}, so it's not a redlink. (It's not "refusing" in the sense of being contrary, of course; it's policy chosen to promote the goals and values of the project.) --Pi zero (talk) 23:49, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
@Pi zero: Not at all. I was replacing the image on many many wikis. I am sorry but I cannot research every wiki's policies and systems of work. Although I realize that your local policy does not allow that, I don't see a reason to use the placeholder in this case. You can as well use one of following images with the same description ("Ruslana performing her song "Wild Dances," in which she incorporates the musical styles of the Hutsul ethnic minority from the Carpathian Mountains in western Ukraine."). It's the same event, the same day, the same performance:
