Brazil scored in their first time down the floor. Australia answered back, and then Brazil answered to make it 2-4 with 8:10 left in the first.

Cobi Crispin had space in the lane to shoot.

The United States and Canada, who contested the final in Guadalajara, had already qualified for London.

Brazil competed four years ago in Beijing, failing to win a match. They finished 10th after losing to Mexico in the classification playoff.

GENERAL INTEREST Additional Information: General The Australian women's wheelchair basketball team has a strong record at recent Paralympic Games. Silver medallists in 2000 and 2004, the team finished with the bronze medal in Beijing in 2008.
