• I exchanged a couple of e-mails with the owner/manager of "Terror Nights" in Tyler, Texas (Ryan Laepple). First, to ask permission to grap some photos from their Facebook page. Those were taken/posted by a photographer, so I don't know if I can get those released via a CC.....not sure if I have the time/energy to coordinate all of that. Another part of our dialogue (via e-mail) read, in part:

Q: In terms of my article, what's daily life looking like for you, this close to opening night? Painting, wiring etc.??? A: Daily life is a blur of safety inspections, auditions, actor training, and last but not least event advertising. I stay pretty busy until the show opens on the 27th and then things calm down some. Zombie Manor interview

Spoke with owner/director of Zombie Manor [Dean Jarnig, performing name: "Caretaker"](in Arlington, Texas) by phone on September 10th at 6:55pm. Key notes: They were a site for HauntCon (a haunted attraction convention) which was held in Dallas this year, so alot of the key labor for this year's haunt (design, painting etc.) is already done. He said they are involved in a number of community activities/projects. They recently held a 48-hour Zombie movie competition. On October 20th, they'll be involved in a local Zombie Run. Right now, they're spraying flame retardant, and changing out lights. Currently, they're in the process of shooting this year's promo video. Headline (state name)

There was a discussion, some time back, amongst Wikinewsies about how some state names would be recognized internationally without adding ", US" while others perhaps would not. Texas is one of the state names we agreed would be recognized internationally. --Pi zero (talk) 03:36, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Btw, if a headline did want qualification of the name of a US state, one would want to do it with ", US" or possibly, though long for a headline, ", United States". One might well say "Idaho, US". Justification

Just noticed that some of the stuff in the lede is really just personal knowledge on my part. I've probably visited about 120 haunted attractions (in the US) during my lifetime( good memories!!). Some very small, others: HUGE!!!! --Bddpaux (talk) 20:34, 11 September 2013 (UTC)
