Victims possibly identified[edit]

There are articles that identify the victims.[1], [2] Neither article mention South Korean tourists and their names don't appear to be Korean. Maybe that was early information? Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 13:52, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Michael! Early info of the victims is that you are quoting. Yesterday Mexico City Prosecutor's Office confirmed that they are foreigners in this bulletin and El Universal published that they are Koreans. ProtoplasmaKid (talk) 15:24, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ProtoplasmaKid: It would really speed up the review process if non-English-language sources are used as little as possible, since reviewers are discouraged from relying on machine translation alone (machine translation can be misleading or just inaccurate). I have some knowledge of Spanish, but it's not great; I don't know about other reviewers. Heavy Water (talk) 21:09, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I will try as much as possible. Thank you! ProtoplasmaKid (talk) 09:03, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and not to belittle your work here. I can muddle my way through on Spanish, but it helps me to have a rock solid English source.--Bddpaux (talk) 20:39, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like the article creator accidentally added the {{publish}} the template. I've removed it from the article. --Ixfd64 (talk) 00:32, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gatwicking[edit]

Gatwicking is a local term that means to refocus the article on newer news. Doing so usually entails rewriting the headline and the lede to refocus on the latest information. The existing content then gets reworked as the general and background information of the article.

Gatwicking can save the work you've already put into a story but it can also be a bit involved. I've done it a couple of times. Here's one: US condemns Russian Defense Minister for awarding pilots who intercepted US drone. Take a look at the article history for a better understanding of what's involved. If you find newer news and want to gatwick this one, I'd be happy to help. Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 14:25, 24 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
