Talk:Israeli soldier convicted of killing of British activist in Gaza Strip

Would a better title be "Israeli soldier convicted in killing of British activist in Gaza Strip"... The existing title sounds like the killing was recent. --Chiacomo (talk) 27 June 2005 15:33 (UTC)
- I don't think so at all. 'Killed' is past tense, and the proving that the soldier did the killing is today's news (well, yesterday's now). RV'ing. Dan100 (Talk) 28 June 2005 09:22 (UTC)
- I'm with Chiacomo. The news is the conviction, not the killing, so that's what should be in the headline (note that all three sources listed mention the conviction in the headline). The current headline does make it sound as if the killing is the news. Changing back. - TalkHard 28 June 2005 11:33 (UTC)
- I agree with the current headline. It's less emotive and more accurate to the story. Just in case anyone still cares :D ClareWhite 28 June 2005 14:21 (UTC)
At least choose a more accurate headline then. He was convicted of killing the student. Dan100 (Talk) 28 June 2005 15:40 (UTC)
