The thing is that the Minor Planet Circulars are now published with a lag. So the information about the naming became available only yesterday (January 30) in the evening. You can see that the lists were updated on Jan 30:

So the circular is dated the 27th but actually became available on the 30th? That would be a valid reason for reckoning freshness from the 30th. It should be made clear in the article. --Pi zero (talk) 15:04, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Already circulating

This link's already going around the Twittersphere, a cleaned-up version with detail ASAP would be a good thing - chance to be the breaking news source. Commentary from WMF? - David Gerard (talk) 18:04, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I'd heard something (via IRC) about the link being spread around. It's clearly labeled as not having passed review, so readers are not uninformed thereof. I'm working on it; I can't work faster than as fast as I can, which is how fast I work anyway. --Pi zero (talk) 18:41, 31 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
