What?[edit]

Is this serious? Am I really reading this story? I never thought in all my time here I would see such a thing published on Wikinews. Unreal and quite disturbing. IMO this is not news but some sick joke or something. Jason Safoutin 23:09, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seems reasonable enough to me - these kinds of stories are common in many news formats. You can see a picture here. 68.147.56.203 06:42, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It featured on the main page in The Press. --Nzgabriel | Talk 09:37, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"mutant"[edit]

Is the term "mutant" accurate here? None of the articles linked to discuss the matter, but this sounds more like a phenotypic rather than genotypic problem, hence not a "mutant" JoshuaZ 16:51, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yep, u're right.  — Doldrums(talk) 16:54, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
though apparently, as a slang term, mutant can mean "Suggestive of a genetic mutant". so options are "deformed", "malformed" ... (no, am not getting into more picturesque possibilities)  — Doldrums(talk) 16:58, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
