Cleanup[edit]

I recommend a lot less (or zero) use of subtitles and bullet-points. --SVTCobra 23:30, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to know where Flint is, some suburb in Zimbabwe perhaps? --Brian McNeil / talk 15:49, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Subtitles and bullet-points removed and article retitle to comply with Wikinews title policy. It is categorized in Michigan. I had "Flint, Michigan --" originally leading off the article like most newspapers do, but SVT Cobra edited that out. Should I spell it out in the article? I am not sure why the Politican category was removed by SVTCobra, too. Any other hints on how to clean it up would be helpful as it is my first article here. --Spshu (talk) 16:09, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"Rewrite as a news article, this looks like a Wikipedia encyclopedia entry." Hmmm... I have who (Flint Mayor Don Williamson), what (resigns from office), where (press Conf., Flint, Michigan), why (sick), when (Feb.9, resign effective 2/15). Is there a sidebar infobox for "nuggets" of information? Or should I just link to the Wikipedia articles? --Spshu (talk) 16:31, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I thank you for the changes you made. I have done some copy-editing and submitted it for review. I removed the 'dateline' you mention above because we only use those for original reporting. Cheers, --SVTCobra 22:54, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found that later that found that looking through the style guide. Thanks for your help, too. --Spshu (talk) 15:14, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
