Comments by reviewer: This can be a viable news story, for just a little while longer (it's two days old, apparently, so it's on the verge of staleness, but arguably not over the edge). However, that would assume the news event is the announcement. As presented by the headline and lede, the claimed news event is the seizure itself, which took place almost two weeks ago. That's too long ago to be rescued by "new information come to light". I'm not comfortable undertaking that extensive an adjustment as an independent reviewer. Questions about the above? Ask.
