Copy and paste...
[edit]I tried to not copy and paste information but maybe reviewer could fix some wording, thanks! BigKrow (talk) 19:30, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- Unfortunately what resulted was not suitable for publication q.v. notes below. Reviewers may make minor cosmetic or editorial changes but cannot make the sweeping rewrite obviously necessary here. Thank you. JJLiu112 (talk) 00:57, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- @JJLiu112:, Can't something be done if at all possible? Kind regards, I did work hard on this I thought... BigKrow (talk) 01:08, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- Wikinews cannot publish copyrighted material, and it appears a large part of your article was simply cut-and-pasted with one or two words replaced with a synonym. As the contributor you must fix this, or someone else can, but not a reviewer. JJLiu112 (talk) 01:16, 1 January 2025 (UTC)
- Ok well I can't so?? BigKrow (talk) 01:21, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

Review of revision 4833188 [Not ready]
[edit]
Revision 4833188 of this article has been reviewed by JJLiu112 (talk · contribs) and found not ready at 00:56, 1 January 2025 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: Most all of the text is just copy-pasted with synonyms, which are not always appropriate. See: "Genera's website showed two plants starting up again at 9:30 a.m. in the U.S. territory" vs. "Genera's website showed two electrical plants coming on again at 9:30 a.m. in the U.S. territory." "Puerto Rico has long dealt with chronic power outages as its infrastructure crumbles." vs. "Puerto Rico has had chronic power outages as its infrastructure has fallen apart." "It was hit hard by Hurricane Maria, a Category 4 storm, in 2017." vs. "It was struck intensely by Hurricane Maria, a Category 4 storm, back in 2017." Of course what this means is that the article is not concise nor are its adjectives in many case apt (e.g., "fallen apart" implies a magnitude of destruction not presumable from "crumbles" in the present tense). Should be freshly rewritten with a mind to synthesise information and potentially add more recent updates to this evolving situation. Questions about the above? Ask. If possible, please address the above issues then resubmit the article for another review (by replacing {{tasks}} in the article with {{review}}). This talk page will be updated with subsequent reviews. |
