OR Notes

[edit]

The only OR in this is "The road has a poor safety reputation among locals, who know it for its multiple blind summits."

The Eastern Borders is where I hail from; it's also a place my partner has spent several years. When I asked her if she had heard about "the crash in the Borders" she instantly asked if it was on this road; on confirming it was, was met by discussion of how the road "dips continuously and you can't see anything coming" and how badly regarded it is amongst those who live and travel along it. I informed her I'd used her insight for this piece; she had a few more rather choice words about the road. "Horrible", "it's bad all along [that stretch] but especially there", "the number of times I'd go past cars off the road [is numerous]". BRS (Talk) (Contribs) 22:28, 30 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Kelso Races

[edit]

I might have thought of a way to explain without it sounding too silly. What about appending ", a local horse racing event" onto it? BRS (Talk) (Contribs) 23:30, 30 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Blood Red Sandman: can you please wait for a couple of minutes, I might have sighted a wrong edit, so untangling it. Sorry for this mess.

@Blood Red Sandman: yeah, I sorted that out. One wrong "accept changes" and it became a huge mess. I am sorry for that.

Hope you don't mind me saying I'm kinda glad to see you having problems, because I was actually expecting to mangle things myself. I had an edit conflict and feared trying to sort it out on a mobile browser was going to totally mess up the page. BRS (Talk) (Contribs) 00:32, 31 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
I realised the issue after the undo--wrong version was reverted, and if I was careful, I could have prevented the catastrophe, but this system does not petmit that. Now I know what pi zero deals with, regularly.
