What is Blackstone? Why is this news? There are plenty of IPOs that debut and don't do that well, why is this one newsworthy?

The Blackstone IPO was very high profile. Wikinews is written by the people that come to the website. Someone wanted to write about this. Ideally, many more people would come and write more stories about business as well as other subjects. Just because a story is local or about a subject that might interest a fairly narrow audience, doesn't mean that it isn't news. --SVTCobra 22:52, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
