What kind of territory is Sark?[edit]

The article should probably explain what Sark is. Is it a sovereign nation or what? --SVTCobra 19:53, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Done - added that it is a a Crown dependency of the British Crown Anonymous101talk 20:37, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
Should it be mentioned that Sark is actually not a Crown dependency in its own right, but is in fact a part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which is a Crown dependency? Jade Knight (talk) 09:22, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Number of candidates[edit]

It's not "28 candidates were competing for the votes of the 474 residents eligible to participate in the election.", as the BBC article says, there are 57 candidates for 28 seats, and each elector can vote for 28 candidates. As was mentioned on a tv report yesterday, with 57 of the 474 residents standing for election, this is probably the highest proportion of a population standing for election anywhere! -- Arwel (talk) 01:40, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
