OR Notes[edit]

See the source link at the bottom, which will take you to the Governor's web site. There's the Press release, in addition to two videos; a short one by Dr. Lakey and a longer one (the actual press conference itself) which starts with the Governor, then Dr. Lakey.

I seem to be struggling to find the focus here: he met with officials or he held a press conference. Both, really. --Bddpaux (talk) 14:35, 2 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thoughts[edit]

At this moment I'm too tired to do the verification phase of a full review anyway, but on first glance I'm really struggling with how to distinguish between research-based OR, and synthesis. Something to do with the extraction process I think, but I've never been entirely clear in my mind on what the determining feature in the extraction process would be. I think I'll sleep on the general question, and then if this is still on the review queue in the morning I'll take a close, thoughtful look at just what the extraction process is here. And go from there. --Pi zero (talk) 02:30, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Met with them?[edit]

He said he was in close communication with. Nowadays one can easily be in close communication with somebody on the opposite site of the planet. The only thing I see that suggests he met with them is the title of the press release, and what the press release actually says, after that title, is that he joined them in a press conference. So I don't think I'm seeing support here for actually "meeting" with them other than holding a press conference with them. --Pi zero (talk) 18:45, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
