Missed out on recording the interview at the finish line as my iPhone though that it would pick a good time to stop working (it rebooted itself off and back on) and it's a bit hard getting notes and photographing. The competitor numbers is in the audio file. Article would have been a little longer had the iPhone not crashed. Not a 100 per cent if I'll have time to copy edit any issues that arise as it's past midnight (1am) and have class tomorrow all day on top of getting assignments completed. Just incase you need something about his tight schedule[1]. Bidgee (talk) 15:03, 9 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
The local newspaper, The Daily Advertiser, has now got an article published, Opposition leader kept on his toes in Lake to Lagoon. The article also states that it was the 41st year but this isn't really correct since the City to Lake, which used a different course, started in 1972 but the last run via that course was in 2005. Lake to Lagoon begin in 2006 since the course was changed and was also picked to reverse the way it was run. Bidgee (talk) 21:46, 9 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Likely some source documentation was omitted that should have been provided in the reporter's notes here. There is detailed information present in the article that did not come from the materials provided (the sort of detail that would require a reporter with an eidetic memory to retain without some form of documentation).
Two items in particular were not corroborated by any provided material and would have needed some support: the assertion that Abbott was in position 234, and Carmel Kahlefeldt's time.
Further suggestive evidence of an undocumented additional source is that the reporter had spellings for all those people's names.
Although Abbott's time of 46:49 is inconsistent with the time in the written notes (43:49), the starting/finishing times to the nearest minute are also in the notes and support the higher number.
If I'd had a chance to review this within hours of its arrival on the queue, I might well have not-ready'd it requesting reporter clarification rather than remove the material.
The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer.
