Reporter notes[edit]

  • I live in East Texas (near Tyler). The rains have been just insane. Thursday or Friday of last week, the Tyler Morning Telegraph had a headline which read, "17 straight days of rain....."; so, when I saw that, I knew I had to submit an article here. --Bddpaux (talk) 23:43, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • On Sunday, I visited someone in Winnsboro, Texas. They live in one of these little lake-type subdivisons (cant remember the name of it)....anyway, they have a tear drop shape private road that encircles the lake, one of those one way in, one way out kinda things. About 30% of the roadway was gone....with what was nearly a river running over it! I had to turn around.....rough going in my mini van! --!!!!

Problem with title[edit]

  • @Tanath: I don't think the title was intended to be misleading, by anyone involved. I agree, now that you point out, it's highly misreadable. How about "Torrential rains cause deaths, wreak havoc across much of Texas"? Or have you another suggestion?
