[edit]This article, as it is, is anticipating that more news will emerge as the anniversary day passes. The title is deliberately benign as I know not what will transpire in China. Please help write this. --SVTCobra 01:16, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- I added some, but it deserves a lot more. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 03:55, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- I've seen this get a lot on the BBC and Al-Jazeera. One of the key points is that any foreign journalists trying to get near the square are rebuffed. Not only are there military and police, but they have plain clothes security people with umbrellas in the bright sunshine. They're using the brollies to prevent all filming of security measures in place. --Brian McNeil / talk 22:53, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that stuff is in the article now, well except the umbrellas. Back up for review. --SVTCobra 22:55, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Have a look for it on TV, it's so surreal it reminds me of The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan. --Brian McNeil / talk 23:19, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- Found it in the LA Times source, will add. --SVTCobra 23:24, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- I removed your addition, Brian as it failed to take into account this paragraph which is directly below what you had added. Cheers, --SVTCobra 00:42, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- Could you add the BBC report that you are citing to sources? --SVTCobra 10:31, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- That was from broadcast reports. A reporter who attempted to get to the square was blocked by the guys with the umbrellas and noticed they all had earpieces. --Brian McNeil / talk 12:17, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- I found it ... no worries. --SVTCobra 16:49, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
