Please remove the interwiki links at the bottom of the template:

[[ar:قالب:أذربيجان]]
[[fa:الگو:آذربایجان]]
[[ru:Шаблон:Азербайджан]]
[[uk:Шаблон:Азербайджан]]

They are redundant to the wikidata item (wikidata:Q26079725) --DannyS712 (talk) 02:30, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

en.wn doesn't remove the local interwiki links after the page is linked at wikidata. --Pi zero (talk) 02:59, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
why not? —DannyS712 (talk) 18:58, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Once upon a time, when we were discussing this as a community, I wrote a coherent explanation of an array of reasons why it'd be a really bad idea to delete that information from individual local projects. Rather than struggle to a flawed reconstruction of part of that, one of these times perhaps I'll have a change to hunt down the more completely explanation, which I expect is somewhere in the water cooler archives. --Pi zero (talk) 19:32, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Pi zero: I found the following discussions: Wikinews:Water cooler/policy/archives/2015/January, Wikinews:Water cooler/technical/archives/2014/August#Interproject and interlanguage links via Wikidata, Wikinews:Water cooler/technical/archives/2013/November#Wikidata, as well as Special:Diff/4056981 (based on your contributions to the project namespace to sections with wikidata in the name) --DannyS712 (talk) 20:27, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Oddly, I have a feeling the particular discussion I was thinking of might not even be on that list. Though there's a lot there so I might just be overlooking it. --Pi zero (talk) 20:45, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Here's another relevant one, though I don't think this was the one I had in mind either: diff. --Pi zero (talk) 21:28, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
