Status of this template[edit]

@Green Giant: I'm not comfortable assuming that this editintro template isn't used anywhere. If you've redirected one or more portals that used it, that might eliminate all the uses, but since such uses are invisible to Special:WhatLinksHere, one can never be sure. I recommend keeping the template visible so that if it does get used somewhere, it won't produce a baffling message at the top of some user's edit panel. (I was going to add Category:Editintro templates as well, once I'd finished writing this note.)

(Editintros are one of the three main classes of page references invisible to WhatLinksHere; the other two being preload templates and anything in an includeonly/onlyinclude; I created template {{hidden use}} to at least combat the problem, but it only works if used.) --Pi zero (talk) 13:58, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
