Usage in an article

[edit]

What would be the proper usage of this template in an article, and when would it be proper to list a cross-reference to a relevant Wikipedia article merely as an "external link"? Thanks - Scott Sanchez (talk) 08:14, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

This template, when used, goes under External links. External links when included is just below Sources. I got no traction when I proposed, a while back, to have a separate section called Sister links just below Sources but above External links.
Note, I prefer {{pedia}}. --Pi zero (talk) 12:29, 21 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I never liked putting it way down in ELs; I wanted sister links to go above sources, if I recall correctly. In the meantime, however, we've moved away from putting the template in sources because it gives the impression we actually sourced from WP.
