Your articles[edit]

Welcome to Wikinews! Thanks for creating [[U.S. forests succumb to growing pressures, China's murky legal system easing up, and Asian countries express worry on ageing populations]], we appreciate articles like this. This article appears to be what Wikinews calls original reporting. Wikinews articles must cite sources for all assertions they make. In the case of original reporting, you are the source. The way we usually deal with this is for you to place a comment on the [[Talk:U.S. forests succumb to growing pressures, China's murky legal system easing up, and Asian countries express worry on ageing populations|article talk page]], stating who you are, what your relationship is to the story you are covering, and describing the nature of the reporting (i.e. interviewing, taking notes, observing events, etc). You should also read Wikinews:Original reporting.

If you are intimately involved in the event being reported, it may be more appropriate for you to request an interview, rather than write an article.

Discussion about your article will occur on the [[Talk:U.S. forests succumb to growing pressures, China's murky legal system easing up, and Asian countries express worry on ageing populations|article talk page]]. Please go there to participate in the discussion with other Wikinews contributors. Keep at it and try to get this article published, which can sometimes be difficult, but you will find that it is worth the effort.FellowWikiNewsie 16:48, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you've added {{fair use}} to your article. Did you copy this article from somewhere else? FellowWikiNewsie 17:03, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

pls do not publish articles when there are pending issues over its content. note that Wikinews does not publish press releases, our articles need to be neutral and avoid editorialising (such as calling something "good news"). they should be written with multiple sources, unless there are good reasons why that is not possible. you can learn more about how to contribute here. best, –Doldrums(talk) 15:25, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not that I don't want to entertain from anybody out there. Why not? But the problem is that I just don't know when will the editing of the materials stops. It's so frustrating on my part, knowing for the fact that this is the first time that such tedious and meticulous undertakings, which are being drudged for free, gets to thousands of hands before they are finally decided for publication. To tell you the truth, I've been in this business for almost 20 years now. I knew what I'm doing. The problem is that it doesn't seem to fit your standards. But what is the difference between journalism in the West and that of other countries, where American English was used in editing and writing in both the print and broadcast media? I don't think the method of journalism teaching I learned in college is different at all from what you've had. I've been trained to cover beat assignments (police, military, defense, environment, business, finance, etc.)and even worked in the desk for many years. Honestly, I'm not a greenhorn when it comes to idiosyncracies of journalism work. I just don't understand if some of you did the same before you joined wikinews? Anyhow, thanks a lot for giving your time to my articles.

Technical maneuverings[edit]

I've been a registered user of wikinews.org for almost two weeks now and I'm still groping beyond the technical maneuverings and idiosyncracies that this website has. I just don't understand how journalists, especially those with limited knowledge or technical skills on navigating the mazes of computer commands, maybe able to generate a fair sense of judgment, knowing for a fact that writing and editing alone, already entail so much pressures on the brains of any concerned wirter or journalist for that matter. I'm aware that this makes wikinews unique and reliable because every bit of details is scrutinized until everybody, who is dipping his hands on the articles therein, is fully satisfied on the results. As an ordinary user of this website, may I take this opportunity to request the administrators to simplify things. I don't have the slightest hint that technical people are really exemplary when it comes to what journalists are doing, or vice versa. Perhaps, it would be fair to everybody if wikinews administrators may find time to come down from their pedestals to meet newcomers or users halfway. I'll appreciate whatever moves you can initiate regarding this matter. If not, I, for one, can't do anything about it. I try to help new comers whenever possible, but many do not want help or refuse to acknowledge that we are trying. Many ignore completely the talk messages we leave so it then becomes difficult for us to help that user. Do you need help? I will be more than happy to assist you if I can. Cancelled articles[edit]

I wanted my articles cancelled. Please don't use them anymore. Thanks a lot, anyhow!!! Alsojerat117 21:06, 14 June 2007 (UTC)AlsojeratAlsojerat117 21:06, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then all you had to do was ask here on on the talk page of the articles, rather than ignore our messages to you. DragonFire1024 21:13, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
