Andrewbot[edit]

Would you consider getting Andrewbot tagged as a bot so it doesn't spam RC? --Chiacomo (talk) 01:53, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response... Have you requested bot status on meta for Andrewbot? --Chiacomo (talk) 01:56, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again, for the response... Would you consider suspending Andrewbot (though he appears to be very useful) until he's tagged as +bot -- it really is spamming RC. --Chiacomo (talk) 02:05, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Also please warn us before you run the bot. IRC would be best, but Water Cooler or Admin notice board would be ok also --Cspurrier 02:09, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I for one would love to see this bot back in action, as double redirects are nightmares for RSS users, and it's usually me who ends up cleaning up the mess as I want to maintain a decent level of service for our 3,000 odd RSS subscribers.

Getting it flagged would be great but it's not vital - double redirects have to be fixed, so they're going to end up in RC either way. Dan100 (Talk) 15:32, August 28, 2005 (UTC)

  • Andrew, a few questions about the bot - does it run all the time? How long does it take to detect and fix double redirects? Dan100 (Talk) 07:54, August 30, 2005 (UTC)

Is there is any chance you could run it continously? There's a big proplem with people frequently moving pages, but not updating old redirects. Your bot could be a great help if it could clean these up as they're made! Dan100 (Talk) 11:37, September 4, 2005 (UTC)

I'm sure your reason for removing the cancer reference was not because cell phones may or may not cause cancer, but because it implied that gmail might cause cancer. :) --Crockett 01:38, 27 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Andrewbot II[edit]

Great bot... can you point me to the bot flag discussion? - Amgine/talk
