Hi Markie, i've created the account at Wikinewsie for you, and sent the password by email. Cheers. Tempodivalse [talk] 21:29, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Archive

[edit]

Hi Markie, any chance you could archive some older threads of your talk page? It's gotten to be over a hundred kilobytes in size and some browsers (including mine) are somewhat sluggish to load and scroll the page. Just a suggestion. Cheers, Tempodivalse [talk] 02:18, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

DPL

[edit]

Markie, please see my user talk page at User_talk:Calebrw#.22Condi.22_effigy_burned_at_Lewes_Bonfire_night for some interesting DPL you may be interested in. Calebrw (talk) 23:44, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

That's weird. Well, I'm glad you did it anyway. Calebrw (talk) 13:37, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

I'm putting together a wikimania bid for manchester for 2013. Its a long way off but im seeking out people who would interested in getting involved. You supported the oxford bid and I was wondering whether youd be interested in supporting a manchester one. I look forward to your response.

Many Thanks

This award is presented to Wikinews reporters upon their 50th published news article.

Busy elsewhere? We understand, but this is a notice of privilege expiry!

Note! Your privileges on English Wikinews have been reduced.

Under the Privilege expiry policy (enacted October 13, 2012) the rights held by your user account have been reduced due to inactivity, or lack of privilege use. You can view your user rights log here.
Point 4 of the Privilege expiry policy provides for fast-tracking reacquisition of privileges. We all understand that real-life commitments can severely curtail the level of commitment you can give to Wikinews; the privilege reduction is in no way intended as a reflection on your past work, or to imply you are unwelcome. The aim in curtailing privileges is to address security risks, and concern that a long period of inactivity means you may not be up-to-date with current policy and practices.

Very small FYI

[edit]

When you insert a bit pertaining to something you watched (e.g. a live feed of a press conference), you should insert a little bullet on the talk page. That way, you're (essentially) attesting as to where/when you saw that information. --Bddpaux (talk) 21:01, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sure was about to do that, but wanted to make sure I got all the information down as it was on going (I may have been slightly behind on the BBC feed) :) --MarkTalk to me 21:02, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
I like what you did with the gallery (valuable photos!!!), but I wish it could be broadened a bit across the page [gallery formatting confuses me sometimes). --Bddpaux (talk) 21:29, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Your wish....Let me know if that renders nicely --MarkTalk to me 21:37, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Multiple explosions hit Boston Marathon

[edit]

Hi. I just wanted to give you a heads up that Multiple explosions hit Boston Marathon was published. While it meets all Wikinews's guidelines for publishing, during the review process, a fair amount of material was removed because it was not found in the article. In many cases, an article with this much unverifiable information would result in the article being marked as not ready. Given the breaking news aspect of this particular story, as the reviewer, I chose to just remove that information that was not verifiable based on the sources and to clarify the ambiguous statements like "it is believed" to properly credit the information. This was simpler and enabled the quicker publication of the story. As more information becomes available, or if a new perspective can be found on the topic, please feel free to write and submit another story on the topic. If you have any questions, please ask myself or another reviewer for assistance. For a faster response, if you can wait five minutes, we are often available on IRC to assist when we do review. --LauraHale (talk) 23:57, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I am not sure if we can improve the quality of content and services that we have seen and use as the main source for controlling the cost and how it can be found 41.113.236.128 (talk) 17:33, 20 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
