@DannyS712: Some parts of dialog depend on pages involved — like edit forms, and any dialog pages whose requests have to be authenticated — being fully protected, the theory being that stuff that has a potential to do damage needs to be cleared by an admin. This is all untrodden territory; so we still need to work out a credible path for someone looking to develop a new assistant. Obviously, when someone starts developing an assistant, they need a way to do a dry run on the assistant, to see what it would do if it were live without actually having it be live. --Pi zero (talk) 00:55, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

- @DannyS712: It needs to be made easier to develop these things. I need to figure out ways of making it easier. I'm actually working on some bits of that massive problem, now; but what you're doing is another part of it. So hopefully I'll soon get a chance to look at what you've been doing, and think about it. I may even have some questions for you about it (if it isn't clear to me). And perhaps I can plan out how to make what you're doing easier, so maybe you don't have to be an admin to move forward with it.
