Excellent expansion to Iran rejects EU nuclear reactor offer
[edit]Can you provide a source for the assertion? - Amgine 18:30, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I added a link to one discussing the different strategic aspects of the reactors. --Fastfission 02:48, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Palestine/Israel
[edit]I would strongly suggest a graphic which does not give precendence to one or the other flag (in this case, the Israeli flag appears to be overlaying the Palestinian flag) - Amgine 06:25, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Here's an image you might consider for your template: Image:Israeli and Palestinian Flags.png

Style consideration
[edit]I want to say I appreciate all the work you're doing on the various articles! However, there is one small thing I'd like you to keep in mind when you're editing article...
- use brief paragraphs - between 30 and 80 words is considered acceptable in newspaper writing
- each paragraph should be only one or two sentences (three if you use very short sentences)
- each paragraph covers a single topic only
The reasoning behind short paragraphs is to make things easier for the readers, with plenty of white space to make finding one's place in the article easy. So this is just a presentation consideration; your content is great! - Amgine 01:51, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Weather map suggestions
[edit]Thanks for volunteering to help. I replied to your comments on the Weather talk page. — DV 05:47, 19 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Please see Talk:Russia negotiating missile sale with Syria
[edit]I've removed your paragraph for the reason cited there. - Amgine 07:33, 20 Feb 2005 (UTC)
The paulrevere2005 article
[edit]This is not a candidate for Speedy deletion because it does not fit the article speedy deletion criteria. It should be listed for deletion on the Wikinews:Deletion requests if at all. - Amgine 20:24, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I understand your feelings regarding this and similar articles. However, there are existing reasons for removing the article. At the same time, there are elements of this article which are factual, and it shows a massive improvement over previous submissions. I see Wikinews in part as a teaching and learning opportunity, and it is possible this user has never had to write to journalistic standards previously. I hope we can work together to create good quality articles, rather than dismissing each other as hopelessly antagonistic. - Amgine 00:28, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Let's scrap deletion requests
[edit]I'm proposing that we scrap deletion requests, and I'd appreciate your input! Dan100 (Talk) 11:34, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Defense---->Defence.
[edit]The Style Guide states that the convention is to use the same pattern of spelling as the author of an article. As you may be aware, DefenCe is the Commonwealth spelling of the word. So please stop changing it to the Americanised version. PVJ(Talk) 16:38, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- It was not my intention to be incivil, sorry if my note appeared a little curt. :-) PVJ(Talk) 01:20, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Fastfission. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Fastfission~enwikinews that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
