Please correspond by email for the time being

I respectfully ask that; until our differences and acrimony has time to subside, please correspond with me by email rather than putting your statements on my user page. If I happen to be blocked again, then I could not edit off my user page your comments which I might not want to be there. Hopefully, we will be on better terms in the future and at that time I would again welcome your comments on my user page; but at the moment I am trying to avoid direct contact. I will, of course, extend to you the same courtesy. Thank you in advance for considering this request. Neutralizer 18:34, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Vacation

Enjoy your holiday MrM, hope you're going somewhere nice. Brianmc 06:46, 28 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Heh. Well, to some the U.P. is enjoyable. :) --Mrmiscellanious 10:43, 28 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Review NPOV tag

Hi MrM. I've done some work on Opposing a nuclear waste dump in the Northern Territory, can you please review it's NPOV tagging? If you are still unsatisfied I encourage you to summarily delete paragraphs. Thanks.... - Borofkin 07:41, 31 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Greetings! Can you take a look at the talk page for this article. I've done some searching and am unable to find any cut+paste issues. - Borofkin 06:30, 2 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Re: US state of Kansas in battle over "Intelligent Design" in education

You're very welcome for the edits!  :) Thank you for the encouragement. Cllewr 21:31, 2 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

You previously were involved in a conversation on the talk page of the above linked article. Do you currently have any objections to the article being published? Please consider noting any objections on the talk page of the article.

Nominated for Experimental Arbitration Committee

MrMiscellanious, you have been nominated to be an associate arbiter on Wikinews:Experimental Arbitration! If you accept (or not), please let me know on my talk page, and I will then add you. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the concepts of the committee before you decide, and feel free to improve the set policies for the ArbCom. —MESSEDROCKER (talk) 04:00, 6 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I'd call it a temporary position. What you could do is be on it until we hold Arbiter Elections, which then you could choose to not re-elect (or re-elect if you change your mind on being a temporary arbiter). Anyways, I will add you to the arbiter list. —MESSEDROCKER (talk) 04:08, 6 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Editing others' signed comments

Sorry about this, I just picked up this message on my talk page. If I've done this, I'm sorry - it wasn't intentional or in any way meant to be malicious. I've looked at the diff from your revert and I don't even recall making that change. I will make mention of the arbitration committee in a comment of my own. I would not have been aware of that unless I had seen it on RC, I think there are a number of people on WN who do forget that not everyone has a wiki background. Brianmc 20:21, 7 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sorry to jump in, but I don't think Brianmc did this -> [1] --Deprifry|+T+ 20:48, 7 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I am not adept at going through the diffs. Brianmc 21:27, 7 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Request for mediation

I have opened a request at Wikinews:Dispute resolution, the dispute is at Wikinews:Dispute resolution/Users MrMiscellanious and Neutralizer. I hope you will accept this request for mediation. I prefer to wait until my mediation with Amgine is finished, however I wanted to let you know (in light of your current activities here; http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Wikinews:Water_cooler/policy#Neutralizer.27s_punishment that I'd like to mediate with you as soon as Amgine and I have completed our work. Neutralizer 18:25, 9 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Dover PA

why did you revert the 3rd lead update?

Removal of flag on my user space

  • MrMiscellanious; Perhaps you are unaware that Amgine (here[2]) and Chiacomo on IRC suggested the flag (link to a page on my user space) as an alternative to the link being a Water cooler topic(as it was before). In fact, Chiacomo set up the page for me.
  • I do not feel it was appropriate for you to alter my edit on my user space at all; and especially with no discussions. I respectfully request an apology for your action in that regard. I will send a copy of this message to Amgine and Chiacomo so they can explain to you their reasoning for suggesting the flag and I ask you to voice any continued objections you have to them as it was their idea and they know more about the appropriateness of flags than I do. In the meantime I will put the flag back on my user space. Neutralizer 13:35, 12 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
MrMiscellanious: While I feel the list is provocative and potentially disruptive, it is up to the community as more neutrally involved in this issue to decide if the list itself requires community attention. Other lists of site edits are at least equally as likely to be considered deserving of community attention, which would likely lead to tit-for-tat tattle tailing (if you'll pardon the alliteration.) If members of the community complain, or choose to remove the flag, it should probably be considered an issue for the community and unflagged.
Neutralizer: your user space is granted by the project, and is available for anyone to edit, as are all other pages on the project under the policy guidelines. It is generally considered rude to edit a user's main page (User:Username) without their permission, and the same is true of subpages *except when they impinge outside their user space*. For example, MrMiscellanious has built several personal templates in his user space which have on occasion been edited by others because they are used outside his user space. - Amgine 02:01, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

16 students charged in an alleged sexual assult

Looks like it could be this: 16 students charged with harassment, in Canada. There's plenty of stuff on Google about it. - Borofkin 02:38, 18 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Adminship (brianmc)

Thanks for the offer, but wait until I at least hit 1,000 edits. I've only about 150 to go. Amgine asked me a while back and I said wait 6 months because I'm not too familiar with wikicode, but I seem to be doing okay now and have reconsidered such a long self-imposed delay. Poll

Just out of curiosity, what is the purpose of this 'poll' that you are conducting on your user page? I know that your user page is your very personal space where you can do whatever you want and don't need to explain eveything. So I completely understand if you don't wish to comment. --vonbergm 23:27, 20 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for clarifying that. I also feel that that kind of poll is meaningless. So why put it up in the first place? And why would people actually participate? Anyway, glad we agree on something! :-) --vonbergm 23:48, 20 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

Thanks for your support with my accreditation request! -- user:zanimum

talk page

Amgine advised me awhile back; "you may certainly remove messages from your talk page which you do not wish to have there". Link available on a $5. bet. If you have a different rule book, please tell me page and verse and in the meantime, please stop nipping at my heels. Neutralizer 02:31, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Please stay away

Since you refuse mediation and continue to nip at my heels; I must respectfully request that you refrain from any and all direct communications. I plan to concentrate on bird flu articles/research now and do not wish to be distracted. Neutralizer 03:29, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

A fair warning to Mrmiscellanious.

(from talk Alleged Bush-Blair Al-Jazeera bombing transcript leaked)

It is obvious that you abused your administrator power. As you say there was no editwar at the time. Me and other editors did not engage in what could be a tagwar that you may have started by your way of editing and depublishing. I argued and showed patience because there was a editingprocess and discussion on talk. The article was put to develop two times by you and was republished after 14 hours editing and compromising. You unpublish it again and locked it. Now this was to initiate a "war" as seen on this page. And as above talk condescending about "a group of three or so editors" as I was a part of is a insult. This insident alone is enough for me to ask for your deadministration. But I only warn you this time. You really must change your attitude immediately and if you understand the gravity of this you really watch your behavior and act like a good administrator kept apart from your role as a editor that i might complain little about but it is another thing that is solved on talkpages each time durin the editingprocess. So be warned, the least step close to missusing your administrational power again will result that I use my right to ask for your administratorstatus to be revoced. With hope of future respectfull and constructive co-operation on wikinews project.International 18:52, 24 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Review request

Mr. Miscellanious, is it possible for you to review the article "Bush backtracks over legal status of alleged "Dirty Bomber" Jose Padilla"? I have added substantial material to the article and have made efforts to avoid copy violations and also to retain NPOV, but I seek a second opinion for greater certainty and to reduce any later complications. Edit the article or respond on my own talk page or yours, any aid is welcome. If notice of excessive difficulty, impossibility to make review, it will be respected and another user sought for the purpose of a review. --Opalus 20:52, 24 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Re: Thanks!

You're welcome, good luck on the job when you receive accreditation! BTW, I'm sort of a fan - how was being on Call for Help? :) --MrMiscellanious (talk) (contribs) 01:54, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

It was good. Taping was running behind that day, because Leo was late arriving on set. They were both quite nice, and was quite helpful in talking me through my pre-show jitters. Leo says he's quite a fan of Wikipedia; he didn't really even try to challenge me on reliability, etc of the project. Mike Lazazzera was also a fan, and before my segment asked to make sure everything was alright at Wikipedia, because the site was down the day before, and no message was "site down" showing. I'm anxious to see the episode when it comes on... it's yet to debut in Canada, yet alone the US and Australia. They film the episodes out of order... episode 276 was filmed right before me, yet their on to 285 already. -- user:zanimum
