Hi, can I have your help in the "Entering southern Lebanon to search for Israeli soldiers" article? I would like an edit made so that "Israel says the soldiers were captured" reads "Israel says the soldiers were kidnapped" - I've provided the source that shows Israel says the soldiers were kidnapped. As it stands the article is not factual. I need your help because I've changed it twice to no avail and I don't want to break the 3 revert rule. :) Ealturner 17:53, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Due to someone else's edits I'm happy with this: "Israeli troops and tanks entered southern Lebanon in search of the soldiers, who they say were kidnapped[1]" The source is right next to the word. Unmissable! Ealturner 18:38, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Can you rename the title to "Civilian toll rises as conflict continues in the Levant. I've had two reverts. This is a title that is wholly neutral. "Israel-Hezbollah" is biased as it suggests Israel started it. Ealturner 12:38, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree.TiB 12:45, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could you also change the headline on the frontpage? PVJ already has had two reverts. If he breaks the 3rr he would break rules and subject to disciplinary action.[2] Ealturner 12:46, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your request. I am currently examining this article. - Amgine | talk en.WN 14:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question:[edit]

Is this source actually referenced in the article? - Amgine | talk en.WN 15:00, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Which one? the official IDF one or the Ynet news one?
The Ynet news link I just added as an additional source, didn't know all sources need to be used in the article itself.TiB 15:07, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Ynet one. The goal is to avoid being used as a news search engine; we prefer to list links to sources/references used within the article, rather than "this is sort of related to the article." For one thing, it makes fact checking much easier if you only have a limited number of sources, rather than dozens. We also have a policy against being a "link farm". - Amgine | talk en.WN 15:15, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
ok, will remove.TiB 15:17, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3rr[edit]

PVJ was blocked for 24 hours for breaking the 3rr. [4] I've messaged you about this because both you, and I, were involved in the "edit-war" that lead to PVJ breaking the 3rr and the page becoming protected from editors. Hopefully the result of this will mean next time we can have a discussion about title change and the page won't be disabled. It's everyones responsibly for this, I think! "Israel-Hezbollah"[edit]

re. ur comments about the order of the the warring parties in "Israel-Hezbollah", i don't think the ordering implies who started it at all and don't understand why u feel it does. is there some convention that when warring parties are named in the title, the ordering is important? if such a convention exists, i have no problem in trying to conform to it.
