Requests for pre-reviewer status

[edit]

All requests to be given pre-reviewer status should be made at the requests for Pre-Reviewer page.

Except for in rare cases, administrator should generally give Pre-Reviewer to people meeting the below requirements, and not give to those who do not.

  1. Autoconfirmed or confirmed
  2. Have at least 5 published articles, at least 1 of which was in the 30 days before the request.

In addition, pre-reviewers should generally be able to respond to questions by the user whose article they are pre-reviewing in a timely manner. If they do not respond within 24 hours, another (pre) reviewer may respond in their place. Pre-Reviewers should follow all regular policies at all times, and communicate in a constructive manner during the pre-review.

All editors who may pre-review an article should use the Pre-Review template to do so.
