Audio?
When might Template:Article-audiobrief be used?? It throws up "This article features in a News Brief- - - blah blah"...that confuses me.--Bddpaux (talk) 05:39, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
- Heh. {{Article-audiobrief}} is an interesting one. Best way to explain what it is for, is to follow What links here, under Tools, and pick one of the articles, then play the news brief. What's then interesting to look at, is the category page for July 20, 2009.
- This, I think, is part of where educational use of Wikinews should push towards. 'Shorts', for want of a better term, are horrible; a handful of sentences backed by two sources has a not-dissimilar review burden to a full, basic three-paragraph, article. Briefs, with the ability to use them as an audio script, have each piece only needing reviewed against the Wikinews article. Review is where schools/colleges/universities using Wikinews may have a problem; we really could do with several institutions running students through the project for at least a couple of years. If they're geographically dispersed, so much better — they'll challenge each-others', perhaps parochial, world-views. --Brian McNeil / talk 12:16, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
