It seems to have been intended to be maintained by a bot, but that didn't happen. There may have been some community discussion at the time, though evidently not on this talk page; possibly looking at edits by Diego at that time might provide some context. I've a strong sense this information is, or was, available somewhere else.

I do note that numbers of edits can be somewhat deceptive on Wikinews; for instance, some writers compose articles off-line and then type them in with a small number of edits, and then the article gets reviewed with a large number of deliberately small edits (which I, for one, habitually do so that I can write more surgical edit descriptions and the changes made are clearly shown by diffs). --Pi zero (talk) 18:07, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
