Rationale[edit]

What is the rationale behind this proposed policy? - Cartman02au (Talk)(AU Portal) 10:00, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

for that matter, what is "policy" about this? as far as i can make out, it is a term, and can be used to label a debatable bunch of actions. and that's that. Doldrums 10:08, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The rationale is: People are arguing endlessly about details of policy, when policy is not to be strictly interpreted but to be a commonsense guideline. In particular, wikinews is not a court of law, nor is it a democracy, and arguments to avoid censure or to demand non-existent "rights" are themselves disruptive and deserving of censure. - Amgine | talk en.WN 03:49, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As an elucidation, I think he's talking about stuff like THIS. 68.39.174.238 23:00, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
